ZeidwiG and the RSO

You may have seen ZeidwiG on PBS. He is a piano comedian. He is very funny and a very good concert pianist. Apparently  he knows how to promote himself. He posts his own videos and answers comments promptly on YouTube. Take a look at this YouTube video.

My wife and I are season ticket holders for the Richardson Symphony Orchestra (RSO). It is one the hidden treasures of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.  ZeidwiG’s video is impressive, but watching it live is absolutely amazing. He was at the Eisenman Center this evening and gave essentially the same performance — all of the gags in the video (but funnier because the video misses some setups) and the serious concert performance.  ZeidwiG is also a composer. He recently completed a piece called “Birth” in honor of his wife who gave birth to twins (he actually now has four children). It was performed publicly for the first time tonight by the RSO and was a very nice piece.

If you ever get a chance, see this guy in person or look for him on PBS. He is having way too much fun.
